SCHOOL SERVICES

Services for schools & colleges

Why choose ClarkSLT?

School / college development

Regular reviews of SLT priorities for the school/ college, advice on types of intervention packages, and support to create a speech / language / communication development plan.

Develop provision and staff knowledge for identifying difficulties, and supporting access of the curriculum, literacy, social skills, and emotional well-being.

The right therapist

A therapist with the right skill mix and experience, registered with the appropriate professional bodies, holding an enhanced DBS check and professional indemnity insurance. Therapists have supervision and support from ClarkSLT and attend team CPD team sessions focused on the effectiveness of our services.

Customised

A tailored service, responsive to changes in your school's / college’s requirements. Packages for Tier 1, 2 and 3 levels including formal and informal training, and upskilling staff to deliver programmes with faded support.

Straightforward

A simple independent set up, where we organise your services. Usually there is one therapist allocated to a school, and the school's service is overseen and supported by ClarkSLT.

Effective and evidence based

Working with you to measure outcomes and the impact of services.

Training up staff for delivery of interventions to reach a wider group of students.

Advice and support drawing on our experience working within education and our knowledge of the research evidence.

Cost effective

School/ college contracting means only paying for provision that is received. The therapist works in line with statutory regulations and uses ClarkSLT systems for reporting. The school does not cover costs for therapist supervision, support or development and there are no sick pay, annual leave or maternity costs. Therapists use their own therapy materials and can advise schools on materials for wider use.
